Resolved - The Google Cloud network connectivity issue has been resolved, and email OTP delivery and API response times are fully restored and stable. The impact window was 16:35 to 19:12 UTC. The volume of affected traffic was low and all delayed OTPs have been delivered. If any of your API calls timed out during this window, a retry should succeed.
(17:39 UTC — Sep 1)Monitoring - The Google Cloud issue appears to be fixed. Email OTP delivery and API response times have returned to normal, and delayed OTPs are now being delivered. We are continuing to monitor.
(17:34 UTC — Sep 1)Identified - We are also seeing higher API response times caused by the same Google Cloud issue. Requests are slower than usual but are being processed. Email OTP delivery is still delayed.
(17:14 UTC — Sep 1)Investigating - Email one-time passcodes (OTPs) for adding cards to Apple Pay and Google Pay are delayed because of a Google Cloud network connectivity issue. Messages are not lost and will arrive once the issue clears. SMS OTP and 3D Secure are not affected. Where possible, cardholders can use SMS OTP or push provisioning instead.
